Good morning, All! My house is so clean and uncluttered, I don't recognize it!! Goes on the market today ~ can't imagine how I'll manage "keeping up appearances" if it doesn't sell till spring.

Robyn, as usual, the posters before me have said it all. Glad you are feeling better today...I would suggest making it clear to A again that his manner of speaking to you this morning was unacceptable...just my thoughts.

Have a good day everyone!

Robyn (& Company ) So glad to see you back on the thread; was missing you and wondering how you are. Thoughts and prayers go with you to your meeting.

I agree so strongly about applying for the maximun the courts will allow for both spousal & child support: this is just being vigilant for the needs of your children. Will look forward to knowing how things go today.

Robyn:

I wish you the best at your meeting today ... you will be in my thoughts.

I looked up the information for child support and enforcement for VA and here is the VA gov't website: Child Support Enforcement - Virginia Department of Social Services

You will need every penny to support your children and he needs to be told that by the system, since he apparantly doesn't understand this !!

Take care and Best Wishes to All !!

Ask for the spousal, I've always heard it's better to ask for more than you want, so you have room to negotiate.

Good luck whatever you decide - it's still a stressful time! You are the one that has to deal with it and you are the one that has to support those kids - we can only tell you our tales!

I'll be thinking of you!!

Robyn - You probably won't see this until after things are over today, but I do hope you go for the spousal support. It will help alleviate some of the financial stress, possibly allow you to spend more time with the kids and eventually find another job that won't be such a hassle for you. If you are entitled to it, take it. Take whatever the system allows you to - in the long run, you will see it really is for the best and it's not about "revenge" on TJ - it's about looking out for yourself and the children.

I would ask but chances are she won't get it. I worked part time after not working for a few years, the judge told me to get a better job. He said that since I've been employed in the past and was working now that he didn't see reason to order it or something to that effect.

I've always heard it's better to ask for more than you want/expect that way, you'll end up getting what you really want, or be pleasantly surprised when you get more. IMO she should get it.

Good luck, Robyn. We are all thinking about you today.
