a selfie taken by an 18-year-old model in bed with NHL legend Jaromir Jagr (43) was used in an attempt to blackmail the Florida Panthers winger. It ended up being perhaps the least effective extortion plot since “Burn After Reading,” as Jagr literally told the blackmailer “I don’t care” and to publish the photos in the media.

I just looked this guy up --didn't know who he was...he's 43 years old???? Wow! I'll bet there are a lot of young beautiful women attracted to him. I really didn't want to see any bedroom pics though. Now if he were by himself....hmmmm.....maybe. LOL

and LOLOLOL! So glad he turned the tables on her! So she was just after his money. There you go. Happens. (And I know....it doesn't really have to do with age gaps some of the time either.)

This is not so much of another issue in other cultures but in America it seems to be a big issue.
A 20 year age difference between 40 and 60 is much different than one between 38 and 19.

If you that think all 20 year age gaps are the same, then you must think a 33-year-old and 13-year-old is OK.

I didn't decide anything. I asked. And it seems like the answer is more sensible than your original statement that you're sleeping with your attorney.

Back to the topic, is there really much left to discuss? Most of the posters reacted negatively, with the remainder split among "who cares," "u go dawg," and "all you old hags are just jealous." The OP didn't even seem that enthusiastic about it.

It's not that I don't enjoy being the center of attention ( I mean who doesn't like that), but it's gotten off the original topic and while I am sure that the OP welcomes the distraction as it takes the heat off of him ....we're not supposed to hijack other people's threads.
If anyone wants to chide me further... Feel free to use the DM function. There's no shame in my game and I welcome all comers!
Okay: 19, ew.

Im certain that if 13 was the legal age, the men would be trying them, too. And with th same justifications: "shes mature," "so much fun," "nice to spend time with" and so on about high quality conversations and beautiful eyes.

That's why he's posting here asking the internet's opinion on his personal dating life?

Look, if people cant see the difference between a 19 yr old and a 40 yr old, I don't know what to say.

A 40 yr old with a 60 year old will most definitely still get people asking "Why"? But those two will be more easy to wrap your head around than some 40 yr old with a kid barely out of their teens.
As I said it is only a problem in that age group in the eyes of people who can't wrap their head around it and there is a big misconception about ages and maturity. I have seen this first hand. And it is a lot of cultural influence here.

I'll just put in my word. I'd be quite freaked out to see some random 35 year old woman aggresively pursue me as a mate. I dont handle odd surprises too well.

This has to be a one in a million long-shot though.
That was a different time. Then you were expected to be married with kids by 22.
