Really? He claims to be quoting the Bible . So does Pastor Knapp from Kansas, who even challenged and dared his congregation to get offended by his idea of killing gays , because he claims that's Gods will from the Bible and not his idea, and he's not ashamed of God .
The Bible does not instruct us to kill gay people, or unbelievers, or anyone.
Quote:
Not a one of these preachers wanting to kill or imprison gays validates their ideas by saying , " well you know, God says to love them and gently help heal them through grace and compassion , but I think we should ignore Gods word and kill them . That's the right thing to do no matter what Gods word says " . Every one of them uses the Bibke to validate their claim , and their congregations amen them them for it . Can you say the Bible never mentions killing homosexuals and these guys are getting this from outer space or something, but they can't find this in the Bible? Can you show where their congregations became disgusted with them and repudiated their pastors words and dumped a one of them ?
And they are wrong. The Bible does not tell us to do that.
But again...it's idiocy to suggest that some idiot preacher that no one has ever heard of is on the same level as some nut job that just killed 49 people because he's a MUSLIM.
But we have a good idea where this sicko got his ideas from - from his religious indoctrination. The indoctrination that says being gay is a serious sin. He was gay was he not? Right here on this very forum we have Christian fundamentalists saying that being gay is a sin - serious sin.
So is adultery. But no one is suggesting we kill all adulterers. Or fornicators. Or thieves. Or any of a number of sins.
We go after the people Jesus called vipers. If you qualify, and you do, you can change our opinions by rejecting your ugly lifestyle.
I find it convenient that you believe you're able to judge who a "viper" is. You get to engage in your own bigotry while accusing others of it.
Again....remember--this is about the idiocy that tells someone that daring to say something is sinful is equivalent to killing 49 people. You have to be a special kind of crazy to think that.

Viz,
WTF does leviticus 20:13 mean?
And please don't blow smoke up my ars and tell me thats the old f'n covenant. Jesus is god so jesus is inspiring this passage.
Leviticus 20:13New International Version (NIV)
13 “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

The question is...who was it written to? Do you believe that it was written to Christians today? Context really DOES matter.
God is omniscient and unchanging. otherwise that passage would say keep these rules until jesus.
God is omniscient and unchanging, yes. And the covenant that he made is binding on the people he made it with.
Actually, that passage is clearly addressed to those that were in that covenant with God. Read the Old Testament--you'll see that it's the Mosaic Law and it was given to the Jews in ancient Israel. Romans 10:4 states that Jesus is the end of the Law. We are not bound to that Law.
Seriously...it's not overly complicated. If you're willing to actually read it in context, it's clear.

So God still wants Jewish homosexuals put to death?
