Wrong. It is in the New Testament that we can learn what Jesus (God) is truly like in contrast to the misguided beliefs of our ancestors in the OT. God is NOT wrathful and vengeful and NEVER was. God is as Jesus described, revealed and PERSONALLY demonstrated Him to be on the Cross.
It is a sin for you to say the Old Testament scriptures are false.
You need to learn the difference between "false" and just misunderstood or misguided.

Obedience is NOT the point. The agape love of God and each other IS! There is nothing to fear from God, but there are things we can BECOME that will result in very unpleasant spiritual consequences for us. It is all based on what we BECOME.
