I grew up on the Catholic Bible. It doesn't give any more information than the book without the extra Greek books in the OLD TESTAMENT.
The reason those extra books the Catholic Bible has was taken out is because they were written in Greek.
God spoke to the Hebrews in Hebrew.
Only the Hebrew books of the Old Testament were kept in the Bible.
I continue to chuckle at seeing the OP - apparently of atheistic stance - continue to talk as though God does indeed exist. "I don't believe in God, but actually do and think he's horrible" is the message he sends.
People do this for Captain Kirk or Sauron, but for a god, this is a problem?
Spirituality is about harmony, not discord. The more discord in our hearts and minds the less room for God, however one envisions That even if That is simply peace and serenity. It's obvious, isn't it?

If the Jesus of the scriptures had been a real person, then every historian in the 1st Century outside of the Church would have screamed his name in their writings.
The TRUTH is that not a single historian ever heard the name, "Jesus", much less wrote about him or even mentioned him or the apostles. They were all fabricated.
That's the TRUTH.
