Luke 9:23 - "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me."

Spiritual storms, winds, and billows will blow into our lives, pulling us this way and that. Sometimes, in the face of winds and danger, we know there is a place of safety in God, but still we don't fly to that safe place in Him. Instead, we fly away, resisting the wisdom that tells us to fly to Him.

Why do we all seem to do this?

We need to ask Him for a release of devine hunger that will drive us deeper into Him.

Sometimes, I wonder about the makers of shirts. You get a casual or dress-up shirt and, once it's tried on, it has to fit. As a big guy, I have to have a Double XL shirt if I'm going to get around in it. The thing is, different brands have different makers, and they tend to do different things....
