Healthy foods and exercise can cut your LDL levels. Eat foods low in saturated fat, cholesterol, and simple carbs. (Simple carbs include foods like sugar, white bread, and white crackers.) You can lower your numbers even more if you add fiber and plant sterols (margarine or nuts) to your diet.>

Margarine??? Is this really recommended now?

God created man to worship Him alone

They Usually Find Someone to Blame...and it Wasn't my Turn

Posted 08-29-2017 at 11:22 PM by Blondebaerde

I've been in business a long time, about 27 years, 20 in IT. I've seen a few consistent behaviors over the years, one of which is blaming (someone) with there is a major issue. Human nature seems to require it.

Six months ago, we had a major account that went bad. For sake of argument, my boss was Captain of the ship. I was XO (exec officer). The troops were leads (call them Sergeants) and ICs working with said-captains.

Feeling Sad

Posted 08-28-2017 at 08:45 PM by hpygirl40

Tonight, I feel sad. I feel sad for my sister. She has a dog, a black lab she has loved for 18 years. He is getting old, and has a host of medical problems. She wants him to pass peacefully in his sleep, she wishes to be spared from making the decision to put him down.
We are far away from each other physically, but I know this dog. She and I lived together, and I knew him for a long time. I know her love for him, and how she saved a mangy little puppy who walked into her place of employment....

This ---- this ---- is what America is all about. Really. People are seeing others in need, and they respond. They respond positively. Neighbors helping other neighbors in a time of crisis, and they are delivering. We're in the midst of one of the most dangerous and costly tropical weather situations this nation has seen. To think, a week ago, a tropical storm way down south of Mexico in the extreme southwestern part of the Gulf of Mexico didn't get much notice...
