Yes, and no. I'm an Independent, so being third party I'm not afraid to vote third party and I'm also hopeful that we will see a third party President in our lifetime. This upcoming Presidential race is going to be close, and I'm not a big fan of any of the third party candidates this year. So I've looked strongly at the two main candidates.
I like McCain in his current role, not necessarily the biggest fan of him becoming President. However, I look at his opponent and see nothing more than talk & pretty much popularity in what is a country that contains many people that are tired of Bush. Bush is Republican, so those that are tired of Bush automatically are tired of Republicans in general and are ready to vote anyone into office that isn't Republican, it could be Alf running for President as a Democrat and a lot of people would be ready to vote for him over McCain.
I want to vote for who I feel is the best person for the job and not who's the most hip or cool according to some, and with or without Palin I feel McCain is better than Obama to lead this country. Adding Palin to the mix only reassured me further that McCain is getting my vote rather than a third party candidate this year. Obama was not going to get my vote at all, I made up my mind on this a while ago already.

I don't know, Rance. I don't consider her very bright, but I'm sure she can count to three, as in electoral votes.
It's pretty much a matter of public record.
