Yes, I'm from Adelaide!! How did you know?? I'm actually a serial killer in hiding; I can't reveal who my friends are on here, as they may be implicated and I don't want to get anyone into trouble. Well, MORE trouble. I moved to Sydney to outrun the cops. I think it's working...

I'm from SA???? News to me!

Don't go getting all Snowtown on us jacq!

I guess I didn't bother pokin me nose in here on account I can't really compare.

I really liked Canberra from the few times I've seen of it. As someone else mentioned The National Gallery is there and the Australian War Memorial is awesome, if not a very sombre place. I liked Lake Burleigh Griffin but mostly when I was there years back I was out in the burbs with the relos anyway. Oh and I would like to go back for Floriard but the place is full of pollies! I'm sick of the sight of the buggers on the tele, not sure I want to walk amongst them!

I think if we're going to get my observations on Adelaide I'll require deep regression therapy! OR you could ask me Mum!

I went there b/c my friend and her folks were going, asked if I wanted to go along. Plus, it's a nice beach, a lot less crowded ..for obvious reasons.

Dont worry, I'm waaaay past "Snowtown" stage!

Actually, you dont see the polies wandering around in Canberra, I think they hide! What I liked about it was the scenery nearby, Mt Stromolo Observatory..or what's left of it, and all the consulates and embassies.
I first went there as a 12 year old..yeah, last year...and I loved it b/c it seemed like such a change from Deadalaide, modern, clean, and it had a lake with a big thinamajig in it. Very exciting for a 12 year old..possibly not so for an adult. We did get dragged along to Parliament House though, NOT the place for a bunch of bus-sick 12 year olds!
Last time we were there, they had a hot air balloon festival (yes, plenty of fuel there!), and we could see the balloons rising from our hotel window, a majestic sight.

That picture looks like Canadian "Badland" areas of southern Saskatchewan and southern Alberta, but beside the sea.

http://img6.travelblog.org/Photos/71009/291762/t/2514059-Rolling-hills-leading-in-to-Burra-SA-0.jpg (broken link) Here ya go, C.C, the "Badlands" of Burra, Sth Aust. I actually really like that kind of landscape. I've always wanted to see the Alberta and U.S badlands areas.

Check out "Dinosaur Provincial Park" in southeastern Alberta.
You can probably find pictures on the internet.
I've never been but I heard it was impressive.
Plus it has some of the best "Badlands" scenery (from pictures) that I've ever seen from Canada.
