Eh, thats a little too conspiracy theory for me. I think the reason he is hyped as "exciting" is because of his thunderous throw downs, and the car jumping (which I agree the later was overrated). People love high flying types players. He fits the bill.

Don't buy the hype, sterny is selling it by the bucket. When he learns some fundamentals and a shot from outside 3 feet I might care about his game. He isn't good enough to carry a team, but he sure makes that sports center highlight reel!

I don't think it will be as exciting as what happened in the NFL but I am exciting for the shortened free agency period and to see who lands where. Lots of people are talking like T Mac to the Bulls is a done deal, which imo, doesn't hurt the Bulls, but I don't know how much it helps them. I feel like people overstate the Bulls need for a scoring 2 guard, I would rather have an elite defender there. The Bulls scored plenty last year on their way to 62 wins, but people seem to forget that. They remember the Heat series and how when Derrick went away, it seemed like the whole team did. BUT that was because the Heat put Lebron on Rose, which is a ridiculous mismatch. Wade would have still been there to guard any 2 guard as well.

What the bulls really need is offensive production from the 4 or 5 spot. I love Noah, but he is not an elite, or really even good scorer, and Boozer was a bust last year. If Booze can find his offensive touch, the Bulls will have a real shot at this.

I love me some future bets. Here are the odds for the 2012 NBA title:

Miami Heat 2/1
Los Angeles Lakers 11/2
Chicago Bulls 13/2
Oklahoma City Thunder 15/2
Dallas Mavericks 17/2
Boston Celtics 14/1
New York Knicks 20/1
Orlando Magic 22/1
Memphis Grizzlies 25/1
San Antonio Spurs 25/1
Portland Trailblazers 30/1
Atlanta Hawks 50/1
Los Angeles Clippers 50/1
Denver Nuggets 60/1
New Jersey Nets 65/1
Houston Rockets 75/1
Indiana Pacers 75/1
Phoenix Suns 75/1
Golden State Warriors 100/1
Milwaukee Bucks 100/1
New Orleans Hornets 100/1
Philadelphia 76ers 100/1
Utah Jazz 100/1
Charlotte Bobcats 150/1
Cleveland Cavaliers 150/1
Detroit Pistons 150/1
Minnesota Timberwolves 150/1
Sacramento Kings 150/1
Toronto Raptors 150/1
Washington Wizards 150/1

I'd say the Mavs are the best value at this point.

A 66-game schedule means they have to work that much harder to hype Lebron James as the answer to everything.

where did you see/hear that? i cant find anything other then expectation that he will be done and gone. i dont think teams can actually make any deals until the CBA is officially signed and the vote has yet to be made.

I'm curious to see what the Bulls do to improve their team. They need a scorer desperately. If they can get a consistent 2nd/3rd option on offense, they will be right back in title hunt in my opinion.

I'm also looking forward to my Wizards. I think we will be better this year and surprise people mainly because our roster is pretty much set. I don't expect a lot of changes, which will help given how short training camp is.
