By your logic, because Kobe's had some good moments this year, he's at the same level of 2006, or 2003? Is Duncan at the same level he was in 2003, just because he's played well this year? KG has played very well this year, but he is NOT as dominant as he was in 2004. If you put 2004 KG in the league right now, he'd be one of the top 3 players in the league.
