Don't you have to have a credit card issued by Sam's to get their gas? It's okay if you laugh if I am wrong. I have a membership to Sam's but for some reason was under the impression that I have to open a credit card account sponsored by Sam's to get gas there.

Nope. You have to swipe your membership card at the pump to get the discounted price, just like at Costco or BJ's.

OMGosh. I go to Sam's regularly and thought I was not able to buy their gas w/o their credit card!!!!!! Wait til I tell DH. I really feel dumb now. But glad you straightened that out for me. Now why did I think that . . .

You can buy their gas even if you aren't a member. But you pay the higher non-member price.

I wonder if many places are still out of gas? or if prices are still sky-high? I know the On The Run had gas about noon today. This is the On the run at the Mt Holly Huntersville Road and WT Harris intersection. It was 3.899, not nearly as bad as what some of the places are charging.

The Steele Creek area is still in pretty god shape. $3.66 -$3.79, being close to SC definitely has its benefits. I did notice the older Exxon station on the corner of Westinghouse and Tryon had $4.09/regular. It was completely sold out.

I think that some people just go to the first station they see & pay whatever the price is.

I would think so. That is if people have enough gas to get to a station parking lot.
