It's not exactly the same, but you'll occasionally see funerals in SF's chinatown with a marching band leading the hearse/procession of cars through the streets to the funeral home:

I looked around on youtube, and apparently you can see the same thing in NYC as well (and other places too, i would guess).

Stop trying to play some victim. Nobody is buying it. Most people probably don't think their city is the most unique, I sure as hell don't, and most have been saying NOLA and for good reason. I, and others, have given a very simple explanation on why NOLA appears to be the most unique in the country. But that's not good enough for you. Pics and stupid you tube videos (which I never play) don't really prove nearly as much as a good explanation on why.

This is why people get so damn annoyed with some of you NYers. You just won't shut up until someone accepts your opinion as gospel. By far these most stubborn, thick headed posters on this board. Then you try to play the victim card by saying people just hate NYC or are jealous when most people in here, including myself, love that city and everything it offers.

Isn't every city in the United States unique in some way? If every single place was built exactly the same, then wouldn't it be common to go to a different city and confuse someone else's home for your own? I mean, its not like we live in Soviet Russia, where EVERY city plan looked the same, and all the buildings look exactly alike (and even then, you'd be pretty retarded to confuse Leningrad with Moscow)

I've done a fair amount of traveling around the US and overseas, and there is just as much uniqueness in French Lick, IN as there is in Honolulu, HI to NYC. Quantifying something as "Most _____" shouldn't take away from the fact that every place has a certain charm or panache to it that should earn it some respect.

That's how I really feel. Maybe its just the diehard cynic, or the light-hearted optimist (you choose) that thinks this way. Even if I don't like a place, it doesn't mean its not "unique"

I agree eek. You can show them so many pictures, and you can pinpoint why is NYC the most unique city and still they will not acknowledge it.

No, it's not the truth, maybe in your head and that's about it. I don't really see anyone using other criteria for NYC. My basic argument is that elements of NYC can be found elsewhere more so than elements of NOLA.

Yes we knew it would be like this too, a NYer not shutting up because the majority doesn't agree with them. Same ****, different day. It's a process that is repeated fairly often on here and notice what group of posters it's always involves. But yeah, you're the victim, haha. Get real and get a clue already.
