What's the point of posting this? Famous people have huge funerals. That's not unique to NYC.

I agree with Lifeshadower though...every city (or everything in existence, really) is unique in some way. If i had to choose some US cities that seem to be well known for having a bit more of their own "flavor" overall though, i would definitely include NO, SF, NYC, LA, Boston and DC.

^of course every city has its own flavor, but those seem to be some that are widely viewed as having very strong flavors of their own, in addition to...uh, the "generic american flavor", i guess. Mmmm flavor. I think i'm hungry.

lol @ "desperate."

it was an example of music/dancing at a funeral that was easier to find because it was a celeb. dunno about anybody here but most funerals i've been to don't have ppl with cell phone cams taking footage of the funeral. the vid wasn't about the size of the funeral, it was about music and dancing during a funeral. it was in response to the other video posted of dancing and music at a funeral from new orleans.

guess any examples from ny will be "desperate" tho.

Yeah i seen those vidoes. And yeah i dont think a big funeral makes a city unique whether new york new orleans or whereever. If a small town had a huge funeral for its only celebrity would that make then unique. No, not really. But that's just my opinion.

And no im not coming at NYC but you make it seem that way ....

did you read what i said tho? i just said that it had nothing to do with the size of the funeral...
i don't even know why the size of the funeral is being brought up in the first place.

Add Washington DC and maybe few others like Boston and I would think you are on the right track.

If you notice, that with the exception of Detroit, all these cities are major tourist cities. And for good reason --- they offer something different or unique that people want to see.

In other words, people would not travel cross the US or Canada, much less the Pacific Ocean, to San Francisco if the city did not offer something special.

it is what it is.
According to Wiki, NYC does not have any casinos. Outside of it they do.

And that is what makes that city unique by weather conditions.
I agree that LA is unique for all the reasons you stated. I know here in Las Vegas you can ski on Mt. Charleston and jet ski on Lake Mead in the same day. (Lake Mead is in Boulder City, but it is minutes from LV...I do acknowledge that)

I will not further argue anymore. I will rest my case here.
You should see their faces when you say you live in Las Vegas!

There are many cities that have things others don't. It is what makes the world unique. I agree with most of the places here mentioned as being unique in their own way.

Seriously though, noone in the US has a Las Vegas Strip so......but I don't care whether people think it is unique or not. Just sayin'....

Yes! I'm telling you, there are times when we think exactly alike. Its what I said in my very first post. I don't know if the most unique, but America should be glad to have such a different city.
