Never choose a PAC team against an SEC or ACC team.
Somebody had to pull for Washington. And for the first half of the first quarter, they looked like they had a shot.
I said before in another thread that immobile QBs are a disaster against Bama-type defenses. In the NFL, it all balances out since athletic talent is more evenly distributed, but in the college game, you simply cannot beat that type of team with a QB who can't move the pocket.

That's true ! And Watson is a great mobile qb this will be another great challenge for the BAMA D. So far he has had 17 picks, I hope he is highly pick prone in the natty.

You know, as much as talking heads bring up turnovers, I feel that the importance of the TO margin tends to be overblown. Obviously, a turnover is not a desirable outcome, but not all turnovers are the same. Watson's first pick wasn't a "good" one, but as a coach (I'm not), I could live with the second one because it was no different from a punt. Besides, a turnover is no guarantee of points for the other team unless your QB is Tom Brady. If you think about it, there are only a handful of offenses in the NFL that will consistently make you pay for a turnover.
This isn't to say turnovers aren't important or that they can't change the dynamics of a game. I just think analysts saying "they need to win the TO margin" is a bit of an oversimplification. IMO, the upside of deep passing routes (catch, pass interference) is worth the risk (INT).

No picks don't always turn into points but Bama's D has scored more than most offenses. 90 % of Bama's picks have turned into a TD. I'm not banking on it but when we do pick we score.
Kiffin is out. Sarkisian will be taking over OC duties starting now.
a good thing I think .. BAMA played like Jalen Hurts was calling all the plays .. no game plan at all ..
