I've weighed in and lost 1.2lb in a week.

Most of it's probably water.

I have been walking and a very little bit of running 3 or 4 times but I haven't been tracking what I've eaten, although I have been careful.

I haven't bought any chocolate for days.

It's my no.1 weakness so I'm doing really well.

I've also eaten an apple every day, a banana every other day, and cereal every morning and taken my vitamins.

Water - could be better especially as it's been hot.

I'm feeling physically pretty good

portion control is key when doing any sort of weight loss program. Certain foods I have trouble controlling my portion sizes like pasta and pretzels.

Lost .4 today total 55.8 lbs. I have been up and down last few weeks. Would like to get back to the 57 lb weight loss I had before Thanksgiving. I am also considering becoming a WW leader. I talked to someone about it today at my meeting. You have to be 10 lbs away from goal (I am 20 lbs away). You start out as a receptionist then you go for training to become a leader, it's a good goal for me to work towards.I'll send in my application once I am closer to goal.

<<I fitness app I found is for me a daily accounting of what I actually put in my body. I at one point in my life weighed 650+ pounds, I now weight 165 pounds and have kept off all of the weight it took me 10 years to lose, the slow, safe, healthy way with moderation and a complete lifestyle change without the help of weight loss programs, doctors, pills, or anything other than MY OWN choice to change. >>

CDS610, if you are still here: I admire you SO MUCH.

OK - I FINALLY lost the three pounds I gained over Thanksgiving -just in time for Christmas! Three weeks to lose one week's worth of pigging out. OH well...it was worth it. Now to do it again! LOL

I admire people who can stick to a plan over the holidays, and in fact, I DO stick to my plan for three out of four weeks in November and December. But I decided that life is short, and I'm going to enjoy the few days around Thanksgiving and Christmas with family and friends, and that includes eating some of that very "bad" food!

So...I'm going to be very good this week - till Sunday when we have round 1 of Christmas (getting together with one side of the family before they go out of town for Christmas). I intend to eat a full Christmas dinner that day, complete with (gasp) EGGNOG that evening! Yes - I'm going to do it.

Then I will be good again till a couple of days around Christmas day when we will get together with the other side of the family. Yes. I will eat pecan pie. But only one slice!

December 26 - I'm back on the wagon again!

I have gained about 8lbs in the last 6 months. The Thursday after Xmas I am going to a WW meeting and getting back on track. For me there is nothing like the accountability of having to be weighed in and having that number written down. My family thinks I am nuts, but I say why wait until the 8lbs turns to 16 and the 16 turns to 32?

Just remember how much further along you are than last year. You will get that 3 pounds off in no time. I looked back at my weight record from the weigh in before Thanksgiving. I am only about 0.6 lighter, but I have had a 2.6 gain and decent losses in that time. I am okay with just getting through the holidays where I am now or a few tenths higher. I am still 46 pounds lighter than I was at this time last year!
