Sloppy Joes and homemade fries -- actual fries cooked in oil! I have never made these before...I always make oven fries, but The Pioneer Woman's picture of her fries got to me and I just have to make them. I don't know what the heck to do with the cooking oil after I'm done. We never deep fry anything.

After the oil cools, strain it into a jar, cap it, and save it in the fridge for the next time you decide to fry something. I have saved/reused oil for years and reused it again. Works fine.
Let me give you another tip for those fried potatoes. Lightly dust them with flour. This will make them crispy.
