That's a good idea Elston. I've got both brocolli and green beans. We'll just mix them up. I have red potatoes so I think I can boil those and then just brown them on the bbq too.

I know there's is ONE person who'll be having the cutlets with rice and beans.

Hello all! We were suppossed to go to a BBQ at the VFW but I just feel like having my own little BBQ at home. So it will be burgers on the grill, corn on the cob and a macaroni salad. It's a beautiful day here and i just want to hang out with the hubby doing nothing, well maybe a cocktail later this afternoon! Have a great day everyone!

Yummie, ShadowCaver, that sounds so delicious.

I just had a leftover marinated chicken breast from the grill along with some pasta salad.
DH will have some pork in onion sauce with potatoes.

I wish! At this point I could eat out all the time---the kitchen is my enemy! Ha! Actually once my daughter and her family get here it will actually be easier. She loves to cook and for lots of people. Don't have a clue where whe got that from but she does and does it very well. She is also a great help with clean-ups. Of course I still have to deal with my hubbie and the child thing. We were use to having my grandson 3 days a week when we lived in CA but are trying to get use to having little ones around us here and it is different. I love it all but he is a little stressed by it all. I think men don't just automatically except being around children as easliy. Especially when they have their own routine and now have to do any kind of changes for the kids. Or learn to ignore the sounds children make. Hopefully he will learn fast! Ha! I am a mother/grandmother---that is what I do!! He has never really had to do much with the kids as he was busy making the money to support them. Oh my-----hope he learns to kick back and enjoy them in these wonderful years.
