I will try the baked mac n cheese, probably not the taco though...don't like the way they look or smell.

As for the meatloaf....well...it was ok. I'm not sure I cooked it long enough so parts of it were a little too moist. I'm going to try again cooking it for longer....but for the most part no one got real excited. I think we may not be meatloaf people.

Tonite....chicken parmesan I think. If not.....some kind of chicken cuz thats what I took out. lol
Try meatloaf again making it this way:

Use 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground pork. The pork really makes a difference.
Mix the meats with a raw egg, bread crumbs or small pieces of 2 slices of white or wheat bread, salt, pepper and any spices that you like (basil, garlic, etc).
Then mold into a loaf shape and pour 1 can of stewed tomatoes on top of it and bake for at least 1 hour.

Ribeye steak-on the grill-salad, rolls and potatoes. Especially good since this is DH's specialty! Food always tastes better when someone else cooks.

I always put pork in mine! I also use a bit of balsamic vinagar, old fashioned oats instead of the bread crumbs and bread, and a finely chopped onion, tomato sauce instead of the tomatos, we like the gravy on mashed potatos..... I bake for an hour @ 350. We should start a meatloaf recipe thread!

Kshe-they took the lasagne, poured boiling water into 9x12 baking dish and added noodles for 5 min. They said keep separating in the beginning so they don't stick. They then put 1/4 c ricotta filling in middle and rolled.

She put about 1/12c tomato sauce in baking dish, put filled manicottis seam side down and topped with about 2 to 2 1/2c sauce. Cover, 375 deg 40 min, remove cover, top w/ 1 c grated parm, back to oven 500 deg 10 min. Let cool 15 min.

Good information!
LaseyEx...no, I haven't tried those yet. I wonder about the starch?? I always thought boiling the pasta made the starch less?! It sounds like a great idea and I will give it a try next time. I am going to use what I have here today!

I will try the meatloaf again. Thanks for the recipe Lisa. I used a meatloaf mix. Beef, Pork, and Veal. Then I used a package of Italian seasoned stouffers stuffing, an egg, and the juice from french onion soup. I think it was the soup that made it too moist. Because other then that it was good. I also used the wrong kind of gravy. I wanted to get brown gravy, but they didn't have any, so I bought Au Jus. I will tweek it just a little, and try again! If at first you don't suceed.......
