Woke up to a chilly 46 degrees this morning in Miami so the Caldo Gallego is in the crockpot on low and slow. Will have it with some sort of crusty bread and some Spanish red wine.
Black beans slow cooked with onion/carrot/garlic/ham bone, baked chicken, cornbread, cabbage, pecan pie. It is wet, gray and foggy outside. Comfort food!
2 slices of toasted whole wheat bread with strawberry spread, a non-fat blueberry Greek yogurt and a mug of tea with a teaspoon of sugar & a bit of non-fat milk.
This might be breakfast food for some people but I prefer when possible to eat light dinners a few times a week.
Well we got throught my heart proceedure yesterday and found nothing wrong,

Not sure what I'm having for dinner tonight. Most likely it will be an assortment of snacks at bunco-I'm hoping the hostess makes her pepperoni pizza dip like she usually does.
Since I was the only one who ate the beef liver last night, we are going to have seafood tonight:
Steamed clams and mussels in butter/garlic and sake, coleslaw, a loaf of crusty Italian bread (baked by my father-in-law), a decent Chardonnay, and mango sorbet with mini shortbread cookies for dessert.
