Hello there,
after poking around a bit, this seemed like a friendly thread to wander into.
My hubby and I will be moving to Dillon around the end of July. He was just offered a job there. With family living in Great Falls, we have a pretty clear idea of what life will be like for us in MT. Well, at least we like to think we have a pretty clear idea.
I am from wisconsin. Lived here all my life. Hubby is originally from Arkansas but has lived in 11 different states before wandering into my neck of the woods. We are very excited about moving to Dillon but I gotta admit to some trepidation after viewing a few of the threads regarding outsiders.
We certainly don't wanna **** anyone off so if some of you regulars would be willing to impart a little "local knowledge and accepted practices" on a couple of newbies, we would certainly appreciate your efforts.

Howdy Think y'already got it right... it's "How'dya do this in these here parts?" not "We do it like this back in those there parts."

Well, thank you for the 'howdy' and the vote of confidence! Hope most of the people we encounter are just as polite. Maybe you can answer a question for me?
Is it a "bubbler" or is it a "water fountain"? This seems to be a term that immediately set one apart from the locals no matter where you go.

Hi All, sorry to change the subject, but................ one of the places we are visiting on our road trip later this summer is Saratoga, WY. Have any of you visited this area? Any suggestions on things to do there? BTW, I LOVE fishing!

I never heard of a "bubbler". Sounds like something you'd submerge in a fish tank. So I guess you better go with "water fountain" or people are going to think you want to be thrown into the aquarium.

Nonsense. You'd call it a fishin' opportunity.
