You know something Journey, the fact that they are putting in those who are CB Preference and Disability Preference I wonder if they have apartments available for us that fit in out income range.
Just to update everyone, I was emailed and called today to come in and sign affidavits. Does that mean I moving to the next step? Those that have been approved... what happens next??
I'm wondering the same thing. I hate to even think like this but for some reason I'm feeling like municipal employees are being skipped over. I'm praying this isn't the case but its almost March basically and I've yet to read about a municipal employee receiving an apartment. I understand why CB and Disability would get units first but I just wish they wouldn't say being a municipal employee is a preference when in all actuality it doesn't seem to be at all.

Your the first person I've heard of receiving a unit that is a municipal employee. I heard of another person receiving a unit who is a municipal preference but they were also CB preference which is an advantage. If you don't mind me asking was your previous address close to 461 Dean St and how low was your log number. I'm asking because I have a log number of 2xxx and am also a municipal employee and have only been told I have no wait list/rejection on file for me yet I haven't been called back in since my initial intake interview which was in the end of September.

This means you are signing off on releases for HDC to review your paperwork and approve it, and they'll probably set you up with an appointment to view an apt. This does not yet guarantee you a place, even if you're approved; they approve more people than they need and some income bands seem to be nearing capacity (the middle ones). But it is another step in the right direction regardless! Congrats!
