From Mayor Bloomberg's Sunday morning briefing:

He plans to take the subway tomorrow.

It will take the better part of this week to get back power to the people that still don't have it.

More schools will open on Wednesday.

The Sanitation Dept. has been working 24/7 on the clean-up.

From Senator Schumer's Sunday morning briefing:

Money is not holding back the recovery.

His wife waited 2 and half hours for gas. So he reiterated some of what Gov. Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg said about what is being done about the gas situation.

Our best resources are New Yorkers.

From Senator Gillibrand's Sunday morning briefing:

The NYPD is doing a great job preventing looting.

She is most worried about the people that the officials haven't met yet especially seniors that are in their homes without power or heat.

Leaflets are being distributed so people will know where help can be found.

Cellphone service is lacking across the region.

She and Senator Schumer are working to help eliminate red-tape for people.
