Got my contract renewed today, with a rate rise too! Phew! Was looking a bit iffy for a while there, with some company mergers/acquisitions and stuff. But I'm good for another 5 months.
Our listing agreement expired and we haven't done anything except buy a "For Sale by Owner" sign. (It's not up yet.) There is a couple now who DID NOT contact the realtor or look at the house while it was listed who wants to see the house now. Fingers crossed that maybe we can take the sign back.

My wonderful news is that my beloved "baby" sister is coming to visit next month for about a week. It'll be so good to have her here with me, even for just a little while.
Yesterday afternoon we had a little rain in the area, later a very beautiful rainbow. Not just one but two complete arcs in the sky above, and I could easily see both ends of them. Sorry I didn’t have time to look for that pot of gold, but it was the first time I’ve seen two at the same time and so “full”.
Today I was able to spend about six hours of volunteer work painting over graffiti in the area of the main streets. Seems to be a never-ending battle, however if it gets painted over quickly it keeps the area looking nicer. There’s more work needed on this but I’ve accomplished cleaning up the major part of it, “without getting hit by some of those crazy drivers” in the area! Can’t believe there are drivers who seem to fail at slowing down when they see people in the area near the streets. “luck was with me!”

I'm so happy!
For those of you who don't know, we live in SW Florida, below "the frost line".
Last year, DH planted an absolutely gorgeous set of gardens which surround about 3/4 of our house and go down both sides of our driveway.
Anyway, with the strange weather we've been having including a freeze and several frosts last month, our plants and flowers were looking very sad and quite dead. We were told by several people to wait until mid to late Feb. before we did anything.
Well, this a.m. we decided it was the day to start cleaning some of this "dead" stuff away. The good news? It looks like about 90-95% of our plants are going to come back! We are so happy. And the garden looks a whole lot better, just from trimming off the black ugly stuff. I bet it'll come back even better than before.
I have been involved in a deal for over a year. There has been ongoing negotiations and concessions on both sides. Today I got the news we are going to be wrapping things up by the end of the week. I am grateful because I need this to end. Oh and I sorta met someone and I am kinda happy about it, but I will proceed with caution.
