I went to the chiropractor this morning for an adjustment, then shopping at the bookstore, lunch, and back to the bookstore. I got home just in time for Mrs. Aks to take me out for dinner. oh what a great day and the weather was warm and sunny!
I have almost decided to walk away from my business. I feel good about moving in that direction. So, I am going to begin the process of doing something I want to with my life. Unless I change my mind...
It's a great day because it is payday.
Now, after I pay bills tomorrow....I'll be back on the low side....but for today.....I actually have money in the bank!!
While in subbing in a classroom in the school where I retired a couple years ago, (I was IT support at the time) the principal (former Tech Director) stopped me in the hall and said, "Remember when you and I ran the Tech Department in this district and things just worked? I sure miss those days." The new people they hired have a little different philosophy of how to do things and the systems are having more bumps and burps than they used to. (Granted, there is more there than there was 8 years ago when the current principal was in IT) Believe me, the last thing I want is for there to be problems going on with the system, but it just brought a little smile to my face and a puff of pride in my chest to get a compliment like that even years later.
I was able to enjoy coffee out this morning and while doing so ran into an old friend from back home who was also taking a break. We talked for an hour or more and made arrangements to do it again next week.
