Hi, all. My sister came down for a visit and we really enjoyed ourselves. She left this morning (this is also good news!). It's great to have company, but it's also good to have your house back to yourselves.

Just have to share what my precious kitty, Baby, did the other day. She usually hides her toy mice and a lion in very mysterious places and brings them out one by one. The hiding and bringing them out of hiding are usually top secret operations that I've never witnessed.
I was sitting in the living room discussing the repair/ remodel project and looked at the rug. There was a large bump under it. Fortunately, the bump didn't move or I would have screamed. I lifted the rug up and there was Baby's favorite green Christmas mouse. Baby was in the room and looked so pleased when I found her toy!
First time I've used a dishwasher at home in over 10 years. DH just installed it the other day. Have been loading it up since then and just turned it on now. Good to hear it's quiet. And given that DH installed it ... no leaks!
I feel better than I did yesterday... and I am hopeful for the rest of the day.
