People are already "registered" when they are very young since their parents apply for an SS number on behalf of the child.
Don't forget the birth certificate that you haven't been allowed to take your baby out of the hospital without applying for since at least the 1980's.
If you are bound and determined to hide yourself from government, have at it. But remember, all choices have both good and bad consequences. With the privileges and rights of a society come responsibilities. You don't want the responsibilities? Fine, but don't demand the privileges and rights.
Many homeless people have mental issues... like schizophrenia or have severe addictions to alcohol and drugs. They are barely coherant and aren't able to make sane decisions anymore. They should be housed in mental institutions where they can be taken care of. Are these the sorts of people who should be voting in our elections?
People are confusing having any ID to state issued ID.
In many states, including mine, it is a very vigorous process to get a state ID, especially for women who are more likely to have name changes. A friend of mine had a valid drivers license but the state mvc would not renew her license because of a minor detail. Apparently to get a drivers license renewal she had to show not just her birth certificate, but her adoption papers (which are extensive), her marriage license and divorce decree from her first marriage as well as her marriage license from her new marriage. And because 42 years ago someone misspelled her FIRST name (Katheryn instead of Kathryn on her baptismal papers) she couldn't get a state ID for over a year.
And based on that she shouldn't get to vote? Even though she has ID, and a voter's registration card?
That's odd, I check books out of the library all the time and I haven't had to show my ID since I originally got my library cars. Machines don't ask for ID.
and how did you get your library card....2 forms of id and PROOF OF RESIDENCE, and reverify every 3 years

So yeah, it's all about he disenfranchisement of Democrat voters.
This is a good post.
Stop pretending that the voter ID laws are anything but an attempt to stop poor, urban, traditionally liberal, voters from exercising their constitutional rights for the political gains of the GOP.
A picture ID only proves that the person in the picture is the person standing before you. It still does not prove that you are a united states citizen (or of legal drinking age in case you ever worked as a bouncer in a bar in a college town)
Here's how to apply for a birth certificate off-line
I am also willing to help you find someone in your community to physically get you to those places too - just PM me.
Sounds loke youre willing to help all of the 600,000 to a million texans that don't have photo ID's.
