I remember after 9/11 a sheik guy got murdered. And you had the guy in Wisconsin that shot up a sheik temple to avenge 9/11 a couple years ago. The amount of ignorance most Americans have about the rest of world is frightening. Do people not understand that sheiks are not Muslims? Maybe it is all about race for some people.

Shieks generally are Muslim, as that's an Arabic Honorific title. Sikhs on the other hand are members of a religion founded in Northern India.
I would not have known the difference .. a rag head is a rag head .. is that racist ?
Yes it's racist but that's not the biggest issue for me. My issue is that your statement is incredibly stupid. Mixing up Sikhs and Muslims by appearance is like mixing up Norwegians with Japanese people.
In fact a number of Army cheifs have been Sikh in India. I dont know if its true, but they vowed not to cut their hair until they killed all of their enemies ( they happen to be Hindus and Muslims )
Hindus, no . Sikhs and Hindus were allied most of the time, and especially during the riots that accompanied India's independence. Now this is where it gets complicated. During the 1980s, massive anti-Sikh riots were instigated by the ruling Congress party in India, which is mostly supported by leftwing Hindus. The Sikhs found support from the opposition BJP, dominated by center-right and rightwing Hindus.
Correct, I worked at the Seahawks game as security sometimes. Everyone thru the gates had to take off whatever was covering their heads to prove nothing was hiding there. Most people did not like doing this and the workers hated it too but thats NFL policy.
Well if that's the case, perhaps the guys were being a wee bit sensitive. I thought they were singled out, but I guess not. These articles are often lacking in details, surprise surprise. It looks like they were having fun at the game, so that's good.

That is not what happened in this case at all. Reading the article will surprisingly uncover all the needed details. The incident with these men started when they realized they couldn't bring one of their bags into the stadium, so they put it in the trunk of their car. Someone called security and said there were Muslim men acting suspiciously in the parking lot. The men were first confronted about that. Then when it was clear they weren't doing anything wrong, they then told them they cannot come in with their turbans. They did NOT say "we need to inspect them first" they said they aren't allowed, despite the myriad of hats on display. Then finally they decided to let them in, but told them if they ever wear their turbans to a game again they will be barred from entry. So yes, they were in fact singled out.
Sikhs would be breaking their religious "commandments" by removing their turbans.
It is not a fashion it is a religion.
