But if you insist on consitancy then the left in this thread should argree with me that it is irrelevant what Jesus would do.

It is so sad that the left views logic as trying to twist words.
If a person is a practicing Jew, I am sure that it is irrelevant what Jesus would do, but for Christians I believe it is quite relevant.

People with no healthcare suffer, and go blind, and lose the ability to walk, and they die every day- you just choose not to see it.

We are debating what Jesus would think about it due to the OP's post. You came on this thread the same way I did...to hear opinions about it.

Conservatives Give More to Charity than Liberals? - Casting Stones

"However, conservatives gave about 30 percent more money per year to private charitable causes, even though his study found liberal families earned an average of 6 percent more per year in income than did conservative families."

Don't conservatives donate mostly to overseas and foreign places to help hungry children?

Or TV evangelists?

I think of Cindy McCain when asked by a magazine what she would do if she were First Lady. She said she'd invite young Americans to serve OVERSEAS to aid the poor. She never said a single thing about helping the USA.

The same question was asked to Michelle Obama. She said she'd help our military families.

Ok. I'll bite. Who gets the bill? Another straw-man argument. Churches (and that can include ANY, ANYTHING, or ANYBODY) get a tax-exemption from the IRS. Not just Christian churches.
Yawnnnnnnnnnn !

Ahh no, please provide something resembling evidence.

We have an enormous saftey net in the US. I do not doubt that some people fall throught he cracks. We can certainly help these people without incuring trillions of dollars in debt or taking away peoples choices in health care.

I did come to read others opinions and have found nothing but political opinion dressed up as religion. My opinion is as valid as the religous persons.

Most of the world is not Christian and aren't we told by the left that we are not a Christian country so who really cares what Christians think?

Dude. the Bible is a LIVING document...

There have been many great posts on here already. I suggest you read them all.

The Bible said not to steal. Never said to take from the rich and give to the poor.

The Bible said to give to others, it did not say to force others to give. Because forcing something from someone is stealing..... DUH
