Been all over the world. I have been to some good countries and some real armpits. The USA is flawed... We have party hardliners who can't seem to get past the party dogma or rhetoric long enough to see the parties for what they are, Identical twins.
We have gone from a nation that believed in hard work, personal accountability and responsibility to an entitlement mind set.
I laugh at many of the posters on here.
If you criticize Bush your smart and a good American, but if do the same with Obama you must be a racist.
The deep pockets mentality is ever present. We should tax people of wealth more than anyone because they can afford it.
We should sue at the drop of a hat because insurance companies can afford it. Is anyone other than Joe filing the lawsuit at fault? No, but hey its a big corporation they can afford it.
We suffer societal guilt. We owe the world our blood. It never ends. We could bank roll 1000 Haiti's and it will never be enough.
If someone condemns Israel for the exact same thing Russia did to Georgia then you hate Jews. After all how can we ever forget what the Nazi's did in WWII? All Muslims are bad terrorists and need to be killed.
NO. There are more Asian Muslims than anywhere else and they are a peaceful people for the most part.
We as a nation support dictators and bad guys because it suits us. We condemn a dictators neighbor because the neighbor hates us.
We condemn Syria but support Israel???? We demonstrate a constant double standard and wonder why we are always looked down upon.
The world seems to love China. China gives a lot less than we do. They participate in fewer Haiti like disasters and their business practices by any standard are one sided. And yet they enjoy a higher level of popularity.
Why? Because they mind their own business.
I am a vet and love this country above all others. No contest. I earned the right to criticize our faults. But what I condemn the most above all others are party hardliners who seem to think that their party = Whats best for America. NO the parties are whats wrong with America. The priority of both parties is how to gain as much power as possible at any expence. The health of the nation is just a talking point.

A literal majority of Americans believe an invisible Jewish Zombie suspended the laws of physics and created the world in about a week. This is with the internet(free education), public library's(free education), and so on.

1 on 7 Americans are on antidepressants. Yes: we live in the greatest age in human history(if lack of sectarian violence, increased technology etc mean anything to you). Really digest that: 1 in 7 people are so utterly miserable that they lent themselves to a doctor(whom they don't know)to prescribe a drug(which they don't understand) to allow them to wake up in the morning without wanting to end it all.

1 in 5 Americans believe Sun revolves around the Earth.

The majority enjoy calling those willing to kill people they've never met for a cause they don't understand "hero's" for a vague sense of community.

I enjoy watching it all crumble. I suggest you consider the same approach, here and elsewhere.

Please stand in front of a colony of Patriot Guard Riders at the funeral of one of our men or women who have given his/her life serving our country and spout your trash to them. Until you do you are just a coward with a keyboard.

Patriot Guard Riders? How are they somehow more "patriotic", and how would you define patriotism?

I know the answer. Blind devotion to your country, unquestioning support for its wars, no matter the necessity or the destruction they bring. Thats what I see from the rightwing when they profess their love for their country.

Thats not patriotism, thats something else. Patriotism is doing what is best for your country. Disregarding the sage advice of George Washington is not the best thing for your country, and with two wars in country's we have no business occupying, we are doing perhaps the worst thing we could be for our country by continuing both of them. One is now the longest war in U.S. history and our involvement in it is INCREASING

You know, you can Google this stuff.
I think Google saves every search I make, and stores my IP, then hands it over to the guys in the black helicopters.

I don't dignify responses to those who intentionally twist my words. My statement was to the O.P., not you.
