Cut off the nose to spite the face. There hasn't been a more self-destructive team over the past decade.
Taylor appeared to graze the mask but it was so close. I am not convinced that's a flag every play. Either way the breakdown on the Hail Mary is all on the Lions.
I admit, it was a tough call, but for all the Lions fans saying the call was wrong, and the refs robbed them, well, what did all you Lions fans say to us GB fans after the Fail Mary??
Sensible statement, Bondurant, and you know I understand about calls! The Lions made some mistakes before facemask
call. They held the Packers to no score 2 quarters, rarely happens to the Packers. The way they were playing those halves should have been able to finish the Pack off.
However, they are finally pointed in the right direction, I think. I prefer when all teams in the division compete.
Can you explain why they shouldn't all be reviewable?
- The game is already long enough. I can't imagine how long it'd be if they started reviewing every penalty flag as well.
- When I saw the game in real time, it looked like a face mask.
- With the laterals going on during the last play, the refs were more spread out in the field. The ref who threw the flag was a little distance away as well as behind Rodgers & saw his head jerk around (couldn't see the actual face mask from where he was standing). That's usually enough though for any QB to get a call in the NFL.

Just make them reviewable with the two challenges that coaches already receive. I don't see how that would make the game any longer. Inside two minutes let it be a booth decision.
