I re-watched the game last night after the wife went to bed as I waited on the Red Sox game to start. I found that Chrisian looked better than I had thought, and of course Payne and Allen look to be a very good combo.

I realized none of this really matters. In this division with that schedule and no run game I don't have much hope once Guice went down either. I just have to realize this is for entertainment purposes only. Getting your hopes up as a fan of this team is an act of futility.

So it appears as if Sue A Cravens is pulling the same crap in Denver. You just can't teach heart.

Wow! You guys are already sounding defeated and the season hasn't even started yet.

I was commending the guys who had a good game last nite. I thought the Redskins were average with a very good Cousins.. now I believe they're worse (with Smith).

Just my opinion.. but please comprehend my posts & opinions before u criticize/belittle them, peace.

We have a difference of opinion on what a good game is and what that means. Having a few bright spots in a game where the offense fails to get in the endzone.. While not as bad as if it happened in the regular season, I do not consider a good game. If we're just wanting to take bright spots.. Yeah, Hopkins, who is likely the only of those players that will play in the regular season, did quite well. He's had enough practice the last few years making field goals, he ought to be good at it by now. A good game is one that is well played and if they played like that in other games, they would have hope for a decent season. And I did not see that as a good game.

in other news.. Free Agent RBs are being auditioned. AP was brought in.. Orleans Darkwa.. Oh, and leading rusher from Thursday's game was released, for what that's worth. AP.. You know.. While he's about 3 to 4 years past being a quality RB.. I wouldn't be overly against signing him from an experience standpoint. Just having his experience on the sideline and Rob and Perine having the ability to learn from him.

Adrian Peterson signed with the Redskins, 1 year deal, no guaranteed money.

Yeah.. As I said above.. I'm not against it. Don't have any thoughts that he's going to be a thousand yard rusher or anything.. But, Perine and Kelley haven't had an experienced running back on the roster to just pick his brain. I can't see this hurting. Might be a stretch to hope it will help, but it's not going to hurt anything.

Oh... And, unless the defense starts playing like the Ravens or Broncos the years they won the Super Bowl.. Yeah.. Not much hope.

I still think the defense will be much improved, but.. Offense is a big question mark. No true #1 receiver, no running game.

I was never a fan of this thread title, seems we are trying to use the Boy's nickname too much. But if you want a chuckle look at the first few pages where the Jason Taylor trade and Colt Brennan are getting love. Then some dumb ass makes a big deal about the Redskins playing in Maryland.

At first I was very meh on the AP signing, another Larry Johonson IMO. But then I saw this clip from last year. He ain't the real AP but he sure looks better than Rob or Perine
