This week's result: Cowboys BEAT the Lions: 26-24

2018 Regular Season Record: (2-2)
2018 Division Record: (1-0)

Next Week: @ Texans

250+ passing yards and 200+ rushing yards... that's a little more like it. Still a few dumb play calls here and there, but overall, good win.

Its gonna happen eventually. At least our D didn't look like crap without him today. However, we need better safety play...that's a clear weakness opposing teams will attack.

Better game today but still some questionable play calls and areas for improvement.

Dak played better overall. We gotta stop accepting FGs and get TDs like when Dak didn't accurately throw to Gathers and another player in the end zone that certain drive. Austin did have a bad drop and there were some other drops today. Want to see Dak have more 300+ passing yard games, hell even breakout and have a 5-6 TD game like Trubisky had for Bears, which is another QB who been criticized. Oh and Dak taking that sack getting out of FG position....gotta stop that, that's a no no.

Oh and Zeke....he gets gameball. 200+ all purpose yards, he playing at the level we know he can play.

Safety play needs improvement. LVE is playing well. Awuzie got lit up at times but maybe that's more on how Stafford's accuracy was A1 for most of the game. Byron Jones getting the respect he deserves playing corner. May have to pay Tank. Didn't notice Gregory or Taco out there. Looking forward to Irving coming back.

Maher got it done today. He looked nervous before kick but he delivered.

there is always room for improvement. as for questionable play calls, while there is some of that, sometimes its not the play call but the execution of the play that is questionable.

dak is still learning, yes even three seasons on. last year was a season where he learned that he needed more education. its a process, and he will get more consistent and better as his career advances.

zek still needs to get more consistency in his play as well, and he too will get there with more experience.

the secondary is getting better, they just need some fine tuning and again experience.

new kicker replacing one of the best in the NFL means a lot of pressure on him.

Default Week 5

This week's result: Cowboys lose to the Texans: 19-16 (OT)

2018 Regular Season Record: (2-3)
2018 Division Record: (1-0)

Next Week: vs Jaguars

Explain something to me:

It's 4th & 1... in OT... with the ball in the opponent's territory... aaaaaand you punt? Really?

I agree.

With this 10 minute OT rule, there is only one real possession per team and maybe an extra short possession assuming no turnovers... that's it.

I'm just glad I don't have to hear the Cowboy fans tomorrow around here.

We on pace for the usual Jason Garrett 8-8 season. Like Eagles coach Doug Pederson said, can't always be conservative. Should've went for it.
