The reason Scotty and Lauren won over Casey, Pia and others is that they got more votes. So I dont understand why some posters here think that Scotty's and Lauren's having more stage time during the tour will be bad for the tour. And the only reason I could see Haley's and James' fans leaving after they perform would be an immature retaliation against those who won. I'm not a fan of Haley's but I certainly wouldnt leave just because she was onstage.

I've only mentioned this worry because of some of the music done by Lauren & Scotty. I just hope that these two step it up tonight in terms of both song selection and taking vocal risks (for Lauren) and musical ones (for Scotty). It's not gonna be a really bad thing for the tour, it's just a concern.
There is a rumor (TMZ) that Lauren may not be able to sing tonight because she's reportedly lost her voice and that Haley will be stepping up to compete again... oh the drama!!

I don't trust TMZ. Eonline says the report is exaggerated. I read during rehearsal Lauren could not sing the third song. I wonder if this is a ploy to get Haley/James voters involved. Many have threatened not to watch tonight.

Or this is a possible rumor that would lead to Scotty being the "shoo-in" to win (like many before him), only for Lauren to pull off another shocker.

Uh-Oh--is someone stomping their feet again? You are correct texasfirwheel but for some reason some epeople just don't get it! These kids are all good so let's enjoy them!!
In years past, havent the judges critiqued each of the final performances? I recall Simon giving each "round" to one or the other. It appears that's not being done this year.
Edited to add that I see the judges giving their critiques (such as they are) after Round 2.
And what a gentleman Scotty is. He won the toss but deferred to Lauren. The order of performance can have a great psychological effect on each singer -- but Scotty gave it up to Lauren. Regardless of what you think of his singing, you must admit that he's a wonderful young man. His parents must be so proud of him (and not just for his singing either).
LOL! I knew he wouldnt...not before the finale anyway. He's too intelligent to change anything that's working for him.
