I'm liking Ellen as a judge. I thought she'd be goofy, but she's just the right balance for Simon. She's tough, but is able to make it funny when they need to lighten up.

It really IS about stage presence as much as talent. I'm even liking Kara on this Hollywood show. Much better than the silly auditions all over the country. The judges seem to be a bit more settled, too. It's like they are THERE. All in all not bad tonight.

I loved Ellen. She was spot on w/ everything. Happy w/ those who got through. It won't be as good as last year, but it will be good.

I thought Ellen did a good job, but it seems there are very few standouts this year.

I liked Crystal Bowersax, Lilly Scott and Michael Lynche, but they certainly didn't ring any bells.

Last year there seemed to be an overwhelming amount of talent and I'm not seeing it this year.

I really enjoyed Ellen...I like her anyway.

I'm really curious as to who's going to make it. I already know that one of the top 24 got the boot because his father talked to the press about it.

They take that confidentiality clause very serious.

And yes...if Howard Stern comes on, I'm gone.

Yeah, but they didn't let us hear everyone. Sometimes I think they hold back some good ones in the beginning and then we hear them later.

I agree with above. As it is, my wife makes me watch this show with her, but I will find something way better to do if Howard Stern comes on there.

The meixcan guy was really good. I fogot what he sang but he had a guitar, a little old man hat, tattoo on his neck with glasses, kind of chunky kid. I predict him as the winner

He's the one who sang "straight up" I liked him a lot. One of the best we saw last night.

I'm glad "Skiibosky" left. He was such a jerk! He really needs to work on his personality if he ever wants to try again.

I'm sure Ford Motor Company and Coca Cola would welcome Howard Stern, a great marketing genius, to the show.
