Gotta love deceit!!! What a wonderful way to celebrate your commitment.

I'm dieting. I'd rather have the cracker jacks! LOL

I would imagine that a woman who truly loved you would be happy no matter what you gave them - even if it was a cheap cubic zirc ring...
You know may be this is just me but when I love someone I just naturaly want to give them the best.

Goodness gracious WHERE DID YOU SEE THIS PRICES ? I don't think it's possible to find even in jewelry second hand store.

Are you sure it was gold ? It's sound to me more likely gold plated.

I think about my grandparents. Simple wedding bands and married until they died. True love can't be measured by the price of a piece of jewelry. A one-of-a-kind engagement ring (no diamond, but a colored stone) with a design that says ME would be really cool. Same thing with the wedding band. Whatever you do, don't break your bank to do it. That's just the beginning of potential financial troubles down the road.

Yes, it's 14K gold. It's very small and thin.

I have always viewed marriage as a joint decision so I don't understand this big "OMG HE ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM" stuff.

I also don't believe in engagement rings because I don't support the old fashioned notion of being betrothed, it's so 3 centuries ago as a concept.

My dad spent upwards of $20K on the one for my mom. I, however, probably wouldn't even spend half that.
