Yup, that's another reasonable explanation. But I don't think the current situation in Ukraine is business of former Russian/Chechen special forces either. If they really want to play war and defend Russia, they could just stay in Chechnya or Dagestan...
Frankly, I also think that there are Russian military. But there is no evidence. Ukraine and Russia are so similar that you can not say anything.
Russia has previously stated that if the Ukrainian authorities will start a military aggression against the East, it reserves the right to enter the army in the Ukraine.
But on TV I have not seen a single soldier of the Russian army so far. Maybe they do not show? But I think it is unlikely. Russia calls on the U.S. and the EU to cease military aggression by the Ukrainian authorities, but apparently they want a civil war.
Yeah, I do not understand the position of the government in Kiev. Instead of concessions, they are trying to solve the problem by force.
What is there to understand. They proteges USA. If they succumb to hold and federalization, the U.S. plans to completely fail. Since It is located in eastern Ukraine, the entire production, which has already promised the U.S. and EU companies.(In eastern Ukraine, is a production, if the Ukrainian authorities concede, the United States will not receive Ukrainian factories (which are already owned by U.S. companies and the EU))
I think the U.S. goal to destabilize the situation, to put pressure on Russia. Russia cannot remain aloof, Russia is trapped. The USA doesn't care about Ukraine, the target is Russia.

I think the same way. But Russia South and east of Ukraine is not needed. It's a big burden on the economy.
