Yes, it's Ukraine that's demanding now Ukrainians to have foreign passports in order to cross Russian border. ( Russia has got nothing to do with it.)
They want to celebrate Christmas now on 25th of December like all the "white people" too))))
( Too bad they are not keeping up with "white people" when it comes to the rest - the law and order, the freedom of speech and the rest. )

I actually heard it from a Ukrainian relative, that is why a brought it up here. She works in Russia several months out of the year, and she was irked that she has to get an international passport, but she put to me that Russia is requiring it.

I have not seen anything myself about it. But figures if true, Ukraine would do what they can to tax it's citizens even more, in thus regards, the cost to get the passport.

To "leave the country" you mean to travel to Russia?
This kind of requirements ( when it comes specifically to Russia) are made with only one purpose in mind, - to show how "foreign" Russia is for Ukraine, as in they have nothing to do with each other.
And never had.
( And of course the average folks are to pay extras for this stupidity and false pretences. As usual. )
I think it is just a way to get millions of dollars in taxes, under the guise of patriotic BS.
