It was in Sherbrook Quebec that I learned to eat French fries with vinegar. Lots of places in NH, RI and Maine have vinegar shaker bottles on the tables in diners, to go on French fries.

Salt and vinegar. Sometimes mayo. Sometimes burger sauce. Just salt and vinegar with proper chippy chips but those thin french fries often require some kind of sauce.

I'm not a big fan of french fries but I do like spicy ones. So my vote is for creole seasoning and/or hot sauce.

My favourite diner in the world does incredibly good cajun spicy fries. I dunk those in ranch dressing.

I dip them in spicy brown mustard flavor.

Usually just salt and (very little) pepper, sometimes barbecue sauce.

I like to dip rather than spread over. I like salt and pepper. I also like Cajun season or Lawry's seasoning salt. I like to dip in ketchup, Heinz 57 sauce, and sometimes bbq sauce.
