Gotta love the "I'm a PATRIOT! I will do anything to defend my country!" crowd. Ask them to wear a mask in public for the benefit of fellow Americans and they have a full blown meltdown.
And it’s not for lack of trying to get black and Hispanic people the vaccine. Our city/county provided buses and other transportation to and from the site and got few takers. These are also the hardest hit groups (at least the morbidly obese members) but under vaxed.
By the way, you may want to get caught up with the latest studies underway regarding masking and social distancing.
I"m sometimes guilty of wearing a mask in the car, not because I think I'll get COVID, (had it and am fully vaccinated), but I'm going from one store to another and am too lazy to take it off.
Private establishments are allowed to impose any rules they want because they are privately owned. You are not obligated to patronize the establishment that have mask rules but you are required to follow their rules if you step foot into their facility. If your gym requires you to wear a mask to gain entry which is an inconvenience to you, cancel your membership or complain to their corporate office.
I can't stand people who feel like they can dictate what rules a private establishment can impose. Cancel your gym membership, get your own equipment and work out in your own. Maybe if enough people do this then gyms and other establishments will reconsider their policy.
Wow didn't know that, any rule they like??...that's amazing.
I wear my mask in the car because I transport a relative who is getting chemo and a 93 year old who can't be vaccinated. I try to keep them as protected as possible from any virus I may be carrying. Keeping the car as virus free as possible is my goal.
Wearing 3 pieces of toilet paper over my face is not a hardship, nor does it take away any of my "freedom". Those who can't breathe while wearing it should see a pulmonologist or probably better yet, a psychiatrist.
Apparently there is no data to suggest vaccinated folks should keep wearing masks. None.
During an interview aired on Wednesday’s broadcast of CNN’s “Cuomo Primetime,” CDC Director Dr. Rochelle Walensky couldn’t point to any data that says that it’s unsafe for fully vaccinated people to stop wearing masks and live their normal lives and stated that the agency is “looking forward to updating our guidance very soon.”
Host Chris Cuomo asked, “What data do you have that suggests you need to go slow before you let people completely unmask and live their lives if they’ve gotten the vaccine? I know you’re waiting for the data to say it’s safe, but what data do you have that says it’s unsafe?”
Apparently the maskers are lacking, you know, data. Sort of like the glovers and the package scrubbers.
When you’ve lost Chris Cuomo it is time to confess the obvious regarding the fully vaccinated.

No doubt Drs in operating rooms and folks transporting chemo patients have mask concerns separate and apart from Covid.
In the context of ordinary circumstances and Covid, expect an admission by CDC that folks don’t need to mask up outside. Vaccine or not.
And in the context of ordinary circumstances and Covid, expect an admission by CDC that the fully vaccinated don’t need to mask up (after all, they are fully vaccinated).
(Of course there are outliers and exceptions to this and all aspects of life.)

Just pointing out that there are some reasons why people would be wearing a mask in a car. Not sure why seeing someone wearing a mask in a car bothers others so much.

Don’t let them get you annoyed.
On the plus side, it looks like CNN (most recently Dr. Gupta) and other left-wing sources are following the lead of The New York Times and publicly confessing outdoor masking has always been a needless and useless exercise. Like the gloved shopping and the package scrubbing. Wonder if the CDC ‘experts’ were snickering at the suckers doing stuff like that?
Those who are being laughed at are solo in a car with a mask on. If there are other people in car then that’s understandable.
