6/14/22: received email that to submit documents
6/14/22: sent my documents and application hours later
6/15/22: received confirmation of docs from specialist and asked whether I prefer 1 or 2 bedroom.
6/17/22: sent partners documents too to be considered for a 2 bedroom.
6/21/22: asked for additional/missing documentation
6/21/22: provided requested documentation
6/22/22 (morning): requested one more doc (sent same day) and said application will go into final review after document is received
6/22/22 (late afternoon): our application has successfully been processed and should hear from leading agent soon.
Followed up about once a week asking for a timeline (timeline was never accurate but I just waited)
7/15/22: received offer
7/18/22: signed lease

Hope this helps!

You guys are so lucky! You're paying less for your apartment than I am, and I've been here 30 years! And mine is not renovated. Happy for you all!

Movers set up. Fios appointment set up. Boxes ordered. I absolutely loathe packing. Like where did all this stuff come from ?!? I'll be relaxed once this is all completed in a couple weeks. For anyone who lives there currently in regards to this rug situation, does someone come around checking? Are there any local affordable rug stores or did you just order online? I'm seeing a lot of ugly rugs so I'm not settling until I find the right one.

Which moving company did you set up with? Hope your move goes smoothly and enjoy your new home!

Stuy Town won't check the rug situation unless a neighbor complains about hearing noise from your apartment.

My daughter bought two carpet remnants in Queens, at a great place called Carpet Time. They have a whole cellar filled with remnants, and they bound the edges and provided padding too. An excellent experience. You'd have to call and make an appointment.

I think that I was finally added to the 2 bedroom 2 months after submitting. My specialist sends generic emails once a month I would say where she would say there is low inventory etc…she doesn’t communicate much with me… unless I call and I am lucky that she picks up the phone…

Thanks so much for sharing your experience... There are some extenuating circumstances with my application, which I tried to address up front, so eager to know that I'm still in the game! It is a waiting one for sure!

[quote=TPNYC;63831576]I just spoke with Ms. Pryce. She said I was missing MY student affidavit (stating I am not a part-time or full-time student).

So we have to fill this out regardless? I checked N/A because I am not a student...but now I think I missed this part and need to submit this asap.

Thank goodness for this forum!

Thanks to everyone who helped out with my questions! I was able to submit all my paperwork today. Double checked files, compressed them, labeled them clearly, and sent in three parts. Fingers crossed everything works out! I am hoping for a one bedroom, but not sure how bad the back log is for those. If I could miraculously get something before Labor Day that would be amazing but we will see.

Copy that thanks! I'll worry about them once I move in.

YES. I misread also. And she told me TODAY. My file is probably collecting dust on her computer because was missing one document.

She told me I have fill out. And she said no need to notarized. . I am a little frustrated but I believe everything happens for a reason and maybe now I will get a nice offer.
