May I ask what range your log number was, and was it for 1 or 2 bedroom.
Also, how long after submission did you hear back? Do they just get back with questions or updates or only when they are ready to offer...trying to figure out what the normal communication pattern is.
@rapas
My specialist called me 3 weeks after I submitted my paperwork to tell me that I had forgotten to sign my child’s affidavit and that everything looks good beside that. She asked for me to emailed it to her sign and to call her back. ( I do have her direct number). That’s the tricky part. It took her 5 weeks to respond to acknowledge receiving the documents.
I think that I was finally added to the 2 bedroom 2 months after submitting. My specialist sends generic emails once a month I would say where she would say there is low inventory etc…she doesn’t communicate much with me… unless I call and I am lucky that she picks up the phone…
Curious to know anyone got offered for a three-bedroom apt. Or currently, only 1 or 2 bds are being offered. Appreciated !
I was eligible for a 3 or a 2 but was told that 3 bedroom wait would be months and likely to be a very long wait. I decided to go for a 2 bedroom as my kids are little still.

Yaya - when you say the child affidavit do you mean the student affidavit? I am trying to make sure they didn’t miss anything
Hey guys! just love the input on this forum! Am lottery #69XX
June 29th, received an email, "ready to process your application."
July 11th I emailed all the required documentation
July 14th I received an email asking for the size of the unit (2 bedroom I requested), if I had any pets and how many people would be applying. (2 people)
Emailed also mentioned they have low inventory on 1 and 3 bedrooms, and I would be on a waiting list if I wanted these units. They currently processing two beds apps!
The same day, I received a confirmation email from Stuytown "I will contact you once am ready to view your file. (We go in chronological order)"
Today is July 20th; no response yet! just crossing my fingers that this doesn't take longer than 3 months
After a grueling couple weeks, I finally got my offer for a 2 bedroom!! I’ll be on 20th street, not sure how that area is so any comments are welcome.
Meanwhile I’m open to answering any questions.
Hi Parchmentnyc, how long did it take from the initial first email to this point? Am also in the process of getting a 2 bed
I hear you, hopefully, we get some news this week or next!
I just spoke with Ms. Pryce. She said I was missing MY student affidavit (stating I am not a part-time or full-time student). I just sent again it because maybe I forgot, but she never followed up with me Last time she said my son's affidavit was missing but I know I sent it back in March.
She also said to call her back Monday. She said she has to submit my file to her boss so maybe I will get an offer. But again she said she has no idea when.
Also, I asked about how they calculate the rent. She said she is 35% of your gross income (bonus included). She was talking to her boss (I could overhear them) and her boss was saying 35% is the max they can charge. She told me I qualified for the max ($2600). I try to explain my bonus are not always guaranteed (around 15k gross) and $2600 is too much for me. I didn't want to argue with her because she told me something else a couple of weeks ago (she said my rent would be around $1800).
She said if I refuse the offer its is going to be hard to get a 1 bedroom.
I will keep my fingers crossed but this phone call was a major bummer for me.
I got a feeling if you are missing one document they skip you.....So for the current/new applicants make sure your PDF files are extremely organized, labeled and triple-check.
I am getting confused, on the student affidavit, is it the adult applicant who has to put their info or
Is it your child info that should be put on it?
Thanks

On the student affidavit (the form Stuy sent) you put your information and you don't need to notarized.
I just read the initial application.
ALL ADULTS
"Signed and notarized Student Status Affidavit at Initial Certification form is required completed by all adult household members 18 years of age or older."
CHILDREN
"School letter for each child (including grade, home address and guardian)."
Yes, it seems like the process has changed a bit. I have called Stuytown recently and was informed that units are being assigned by income and availability. Seems to be a different process from earlier but not sure 100%.
This makes sense. They contacted me initially based on my application last year, where my income was on the lower side of the spectrum due to Covid. But, when submitting my paperwork last month, my income is now on the higher end of the spectrum, and haven't heard from them. Was thinking perhaps they were trying to fill from the bottom up first, but that's just a guess.
