It really just depends on what 2 bedroom becomes available that is within your price point when your turn comes up. There's not really a way to game the system since you can't pass on an offer and wait for a preferred location to become available.

My log number was in the 3300's and I ended up in ST on the 20th street loop.

Hello,
For those who have been checking the website daily for affordable apt to be posted. What have been the rent prices?
I am always too late to check and it shows no apt. It doesn’t seem affordable to me based on what I am hearing.

I checked every day so far, although I was distracted today, and the only one I saw was the fancy, platinum finish one-bedroom in 5 Stuy Oval, and that was $3,471.

I’m curious to know if there had been any others.

I gotta say, this is an exercise in frustration.

There’s an apartment posted now, 315 Avenue C, a one-bedroom for $3,409. Like the first one I saw, it’s the fancy platinum finish with the open kitchen. If you’re interested, act fast. But I think for most people, a price this high for a lottery apartment is disappointing.

Today three different ones were posted. I see the pattern of posting so the first one was posted two weeks ago on thursday, at around 8:30 which was a one bedroom. The other time they posted last week I think on thursday again around 8:45. They posted two today, one around 8:50 the other one around 9:30. All of them were gone by an hour. So you have to check around then to see whether there is anything for you. Also all of the posts were for one bedrooms from 3400 to 3600 except one that was a two bedroom. I am personally looking for them posting something less than 2400. Wishing you all luck in the hunger game of the lotteries!

It's good to have hope, but anything less than $2,400 range will probably be allotted to the 2021 lottery. Just my opinion.

This Hunger Games "lottery" is for units with prices that are higher than those in the 2021 lottery but less than "market rate."

I know but in their pdf they say the minimum is 2000 so if I see that I will jump on it. But not holding my breath. It has been a reason to wake up earlier and regulate my sleep schedule better. lol
