Isn't it odd that they will open a new lottery when the current is not fulfilled?
Last time I spoke with my advisor on the phone she said I"m all set up to receive an offer once a 1 bdr becomes available.
She said before June I should receive an offer. We'll see!

No it’s no odd. I am part of the 2021 lottery. Moved in oct and some people from the previous lottery also weee receiving offers.
In December, another lottery recipient and I went to the office to thank them and they had mentioned that another lottery would start in 2023 while the 2021 would still continue…

Even if I moved in Stuytown, I am still clueless about the lottery process.

If your occupant specialist told you that you will get an offer, you will definitely get one. The wait is insane but there is so much turn around hear. People move out all the time.

Please to anyone who finds out when the new lottery starts, please inform the group. A very dear friend of mine would like to apply.

Hello. Just wanted to update everyone.
Syed is no longer with stuytown.
And they are currently in the process of consolidating all the lists and then distributing amongst the occupancy specialists in hopes to go in numerical order.
This quite frustrating since my log is 26xx and there were a few applicants with higher log number who were offered apartments since they were not going in numerical order.
I was also informed there are still plenty of applicants in the 10xx’s with no inventory for apartments. And to continue to anticipate a very long wait.
Also was informed the 2021 lottery has been extended indefinitely.
I did not ask if there will be a new lottery. However, if there is, I would imagine the wait to get an apartment will be at minimum 2-3 years.

24XX. I'm really hoping to get an offer soon because my lease expires at the end of May and I don't want to renew it again. This would be my second time renewing this lease since I started this process. Fingers crossed, send good vibes.

I just got an email from Syed less than 2 weeks ago!!! He said he and the other specialists are also on the list waiting. I submitted my docs 11 months ago and about a month ago I was asked to submit again, which I did. He also said something should come up by June (but I have serious doubts about that timeframe for a 2BR apt.)
