Hi everyone

I just wanted to give an update to everyone waiting for an apt. I was log # 33xx and just moved into a 2 bedroom 2 weeks ago. I was contacted on Feb 22nd to renew my documents for the last time and signed my lease 3/9, moved in 3/18. The apt is beautiful - very much worth the long wait! My specialist was Ms. Wentt.

There is more info here. It’s confusing, but I’m sure we will figure it out if we put our heads together. Apparently some lotto units will be posted on the Stuy Town-Peter Cooper website every morning.

I may be misreading it, but it seems as though anyone can grab an affordable apartment off the website, as long as you meet the income requirements. Can that be true? It’s just a case of refreshing the site every morning?

Alot less affordable than the 2021 lottery! The monthly minimum rent for 2 bedrooms is the same as the monthly maximum from 2021! I got lucky, I passed on previous lotteries as,they were in this price range. The only reason I applied in 2021 was the reduced rates. I felt good for whatever reason and, got a relatively low log # 14**. Moved in February 2022 and, have been loving it ever since. I'll see if a new thread has been started. I bet there will be a lot less applicants will be on this one!

This is a very strange lottery, you don't apply and join a waitlist. You apply on a daily basis for particular apartments posted that morning on the website if you meet the salary requirements. Much pricier than the 2021 lottery. I'm going to watch to see what comes up as available just because I find it interesting.

Meanwhile, there doesn't seem to be much movement in the 2018/2021 lotteries, hoping to see more folks posting their good news!
