Talk to your landlord and see your options. Some places only want a 30-day notice. There's some places that will tell you that you have you have to sublease until the lease is over and find someone to talk over the lease, etc.

27 Eagle St residents do have the option to rent the Test Kitchen out @ $400 an hour with a minimum of 4 hours. Thats the only amenity that is available to 27 eagle residents.

I was able to do this - I contacted a lawyer and he told me in NYC landlords are required to mitigate losses and make a real effort to re-rent your unit at your current rent or market rate, whichever is lower. My landlord wasn't responsive when trying to speak with them about a sublet or a lease transfer. My lawyer advised me to send a letter via certified mail to my landlord giving 30 day notice to move out, and sent my keys to them certified mail as well. They were required to re-rent it and could not charge me for the remainder of the lease. They were however jerks and kept my security deposit, which the lawyer said by law they cant do.

Yes, Congratulations!!

I called the same day my status changed and my agent at Reside didn't even realize I got approved until I called. Then then a few minutes after I got off the phone Reside sent a congratulations email and stated that they will forward my info to the management office. They move in estimate is 30- 60 days, but it's sooner.

I got approved on the Jan. 4th and they management office emailed me on Jan 9th saying they got the approval for me from hpd and ask about when did I want to move in. I chose this Sunday (22nd) just to I had time to pack and let my management office know. They sent the lease to for my partner and I to docusign and asked for the 1st month + security on Jan 13th. We did it same day and now we're just waiting to move on Sunday.
