Congratulations! How long did the process take? Were you #1 from the start or did you move up? I am #2 on 440 East 23rd 14D, but I haven't heard anything since Tuesday.

I was the first one on the list for the apartment I got approved for.
When the lottery team begins reaching out to people on the waiting list is a bit unpredictable. It varies on various factors like how determined the first person is, if they choose not to move forward and inform the team about their decision to back out, whether they complete all the necessary steps on time, and if they encounter any rejections and decide to contest the decision, and so on.
In cases where I made the list but wasn't the first applicant, I kept an eye out for offers on the website.
Sorry, I made a mistake in my original listing and just fixed it. It's 5 Stuy Oval, not 15, and you are correct, it has been offered seven times!
I can't figure out why this would be so. It's a nice location on the Oval with good views, a very beautiful renovation!
Maybe pricing? It's definitely a good deal in the broader market but my guess is that folks looking into the lottery are hoping to find a place somewhat cheaper than that. I know I am haha
