But move that stadium to downtown and those same east valley fans will just stay home because it's not worth sitting in traffic to watch a game. My guess is they will work out a deal with the tribes in Scottsdale.
Did you ever consider people who may live in the East Valley, but work downtown or midtown and would just go straight to the game after work?

One potential dark horse candidate for a location that I read somewhere was on Gila River tribal land over by Wild Horse. While this may make sense from a financial perspective, it has the same issue as a location up by Talking Stick - it only caters to half of the East Valley fanbase. Just as a location up by Talking Stick would only cater to the fanbase in Scottsdale, a location down at Gila River would only cater to the Chandler/Gilbert/Ahwatukee fanbase. As stated earlier, a better more central location on tribal land would be near the new Phoenix Rising FC stadium, catering to both the Northeast and Southeast Valley.

No that makes zero sense from any perspective unless they build up a fan base in Pinal County.

As lovely a facility as the Camelback Ranch ballpark is (and it is beautiful and a great park to see a game) I'll never go back there after getting stuck in their landlocked (one road in-out) parking lot for over an hour after a Dodgers game last year. Traffic management by the Glendale police couldn't have been more disorganized and even after the initial rush died down and seeing barriers were being removed, I politely asked Officer Friendly if he would allow me a left turn onto Camelback Rd.. He barked "No" then waved the guy behind me on for a left turn.

Thanks, you made it easy for me to not set foot in any Glendale sports facility if that's indicative of how the local law interacts with the public. Good luck paying for your playground as well as getting that sweet moonlight pay, there are plenty of other places I can see a game without the aggravation.

Looks like the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Reservation still won't give them a deal. A location by the Phoenix Rising FC stadium would be a good central location for the East Valley fanbase.

Keep an eye on that thought process, don't be surprised to see the Band as part of the ownership group and a new arena in the next little while.

We'll see. Building a new arena takes time. Glendale might not play ball after next season and eyes are now looking at Houston. Never-ending drama and poor on ice performance isn't helping keeping people interested.

Is it the Coyote's themselves looking to move to Houston, or just outside speculation?
