lets not kid ourselves, if white people see a guy like him walking down the street.. " he is black". He was more accepted in to that culture etc.
Exactly. People kill me with their straw mans. We could elect a chocolate brown president, but someone will discover a distant Asian relative and then people will start proclaiming that he isn't really black.

The next time I cross the street and hear car doors locking as they sit at the red light waiting for it to change, I'm going to say "I'm half White!" and see suburban soccer moms breathe a sigh of relief as they unlock their doors.
Now that I think about it, that would have been a great sketch on Dave Chappelle's show....

Poor guy, he can't win either way. If he trys to be accomodating to all, the blacks say that he is not doing enough for them and is not black enough. If he leans too far to the right or left the whites attack him (refutcians or the dumbocrats). I just pray that the man finds some peace between these fools
As much as I thought that Bush was a buffoon, I respected the fact that whatever he wanted (almost) he got by just saying @!#$ we are going to do it my way or no way! Even if the dumbazzez refutican party disagreed with him behind closed doors they followed in lock step anyway
The article quoted a political science professor who said that Obama identifies as black for political reasons. If he had called himself multiracial in Chicago, he never would have had a political career.
I don't believe that President Obama identifies with blacks "for political reasons". He's never denied having a white mother and a black father.
Even though things have changed over the past years, most "multiracial" folks identify with the darker skinned race because they've not been accepted by whites as white. Unfortunately, they've not been accepted by blacks as black either.... as this post and the article it's based on proves.
Do you think he chose the ethnicity of his wife for political reasons, as well? Poor Mrs. Obama. She's just an unknowing pawn in his evil political schemes.

Yes...but the mother of the current President isn't very distant is it?
Not like you had to dig WAY back into the dim distant past....

You forget to add(to your poll options)........No Opinion.......and WHO CARES!!!!!!!

What is this not being accepted crap????
God forbid people here are SO tightly wrapped thinking others give a crap about their color....
