All these homophobes appear to have had "numerous gay friends" in the past or present.
I'm sure they also have "numerous black friends, and even know a Chinaman or two."
These people would have ZERO "gay friends" if their "gay friends" had any sense of self worth and saw what these people REALLY thought about them!

No self respecting gay man would be friends with someone who thinks they shouldn't have equal rights.
I want nothing to do with them and if they truly are disturbed by that (since they "disapprove" of our lifestyle so much) then I think they have some sort of borderline personality problem.
So why doesn't the homosexual community just try and get the same things under civil unions instead of declaring it marriage? Why do you guys want to treat people in civil unions not equal? It's the same thing, you say you (homosexuals) aren't being treated equally, what about people in a civil union? Do they not count as equals like you try to say you are?
Simple answer to all these questions: we don't give a rat's arse how you personally define the word "marriage." We believe we are guaranteed every right to a civil marriage as straight couples. We will not settle for some convoluted process to make civil unions more comparable to civil marriage just because you're butt hurt not everyone is following your archaic religious dogma. Suck it up and deal with it.

Just because a person doesn't believe as strongly as you do regarding gay rights, doesn't necessarily mean that specific individual is spending time throwing up any road blocks attempting to quash your way of life.

All you have to do is sign a concent form at the hospital, I do it with my own family, no big deal you can do it ahead of time and it's kept on file.
A consent form, and sometimes a legal medical power of attorney, are no good if you are traveling. I have had my legal poa questioned, and have been excluded from the ER while my partner was in after an accident. 4 hours with no word on her condition. If we were married I would have been at her side.

So, since an opposite-sex spouse doesn't have to sign some form, you're conceding that gay people do not have equal rights? Right?
(and it's not always that simple - how about an incapacitated patient who cannot sign anything)
No that's what you wrote not me. I've been to the hospital when friends were in ER and allowed to see them, it must just be discrimination against gays
